Dr Luke Annetts
Veterinarian
Born and raised in Glen Innes, Luke developed a love of animals from a young age and has a keen interest in endurance horse riding. He studied to become a Veterinarian at Murdoch University in Perth and then worked in a mixed practice in Bundaberg after graduating. He then relocated closer to home when he made the move to run the clinic in Tenterfield. Luke enjoys the variety of mixed veterinary practice and the challenges it provides.
Dr Sam Evans
Veterinarian
Sam grew up in nearby Glen Innes. Sam went through the pony clubs ranks, before setting his sites on campdrafting. Sam hopes to pursue his campdrafting dreams once again once he settles in Tenterfield, and maybe one day hold the Warwick Gold Cup.
Dr Pip Johnston
Veterinarian
Pip has always been a great lover of horses, spending most of her younger years travelling the countryside doing bareback and bridleless demos on her horses, with her trusty dogs by her side. Pip and her husband, Paul have been busy raising their two girls, Jessica and Annabelle, and son, Tommy who also share their parents' love of animals, which is lucky, because there is an ever-growing number of horses, dogs, cats and other animals in the Johnston family.
Meg Donges
Kennel Hand
Meg has worked at the clinic since 2013 and is a very valuable asset to our team, working every Tuesday. Meg keeps the vets in check, ensuring the clinic is clean and tidy. Meg also helps to ensure everyone has their correct tea or coffee and are well looked after. Meg is a wonderful asset to our team.
Dr Ashley Johnston
Veterinarian
Ashley was born and bred here in Tenterfield on her family's cattle farm. She studied in Townsville at James Cook University and graduated in 2012. Her first job was a two-year stint in Kingaroy, focusing mainly on companion animals and gaining a wide range of experience. Ashley then worked in a mixed practice at Oakey for four years, working with both large and small animals. She enjoys the challenges and variety of mixed veterinary practice and is passionate about providing a high level of veterinary care on all cases, including within the veterinary hospital environment, ensuring the best possible outcome for your animal.
Dr Gabby White
Veteriarian
Gabby grew up in northern Queensland and has extensive experience with livestock and horses. Having graduated from CSU in Wagga, Gabby has spent several years in mixed veterinary practice, prior to moving to Tenterfield to settle on her small family farm and help out with the maintenance. Gabby has an array of horses, dogs and cats to keep her busy, and in her spare time Gabby enjoys training horses and competing in campdrafting.
Lucinda Colley
Qualified Veterinary Nurse
Lucinda has worked at the practice since 2010, starting as a School– based Trainee. Now, having completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, she works with us as a qualified Veterinary Nurse and loves taking care of everyone's pets. Originally from Glen Innes, Lucinda now lives in Tenterfield with her dogs and cats and a couple of horses on her block on the outskirts of town. With a passion for campdrafting, Lucinda is away most weekends with her horses. Being a family affair, she enjoys spending time with her parents and brother, as they are all competitors in the sport.
Matilda Mitchell Veterinary Nurse
Matilda began her veterinary nurse training with Tenterfield Veterinary Clinic as a school based trainee. She has developed into a dedicated, caring, compassionate and knowledgable nurse. Tilly keeps us all oragnised and assists with inventory and stock control, amongst many many other talents, including touch football, caring for her sisters and looking after her furry animals.
Tina Wolverson
Veterinary Nurse
Tina began Veterinary Nursing at Tenterfield Veterinary Clinic is 2021. Tina brings a wealth of knowledge having worked as a vet nurse in Armidale and Uralla over many years. In her spare time Tina spends time with her golden retriever dogs, which she takes for regular walks and to the occasional show. Tina also has a husband Nick, but he knows the dogs come first :-)
Joshua Petrie Veterinary Nurse
Joshua began his veterinary nursing qualification with Tenterfield Veterinary Clinic in 2022. Joshua is rapidly becoming a very valuable member of the team and is willing to try his hand at most things. Even the unpleasant parts of the job. Josh’s main interests are with horses and cattle, though he is equally capable of handing the smallies animals and keeping the clinic clean and our vets in check. Josh has a variety of animals with dogs and horses and cattle to keep him occupied on weekends.
